We are a local, independent, community-oriented private practice in Boone, IA for the last 4 years although the owner has been serving Boone County for the last 10 years. The majority of our referrals are from area physicians and from our own patients telling their family and friends about us. We practice a high standard of hearing healthcare. Our focus is entirely on patients’ unique needs, which means patients will experience individualized hearing care treatment with exceptional follow-up care that ensures every patient will received exceptional hearing and balance care. We do not participate in insurance plans that restrict care and follow-up as we believe that is unethical to treat patients differently based on what insurance plan they have.
We work together as a team to create an environment that makes people comfortable and helps them work towards better hearing and quality of life.
The Position:
We’re seeking an individual who is personable, naturally friendly, detail oriented, bright and inquisitive, and an excellent communicator. The Patient Care Coordinator is the first point of contact for patients.
Responsibilities include:
· Greeting patients with a smile
· Answering the phones and taking thorough and accurate messages
· Scheduling and confirming appointments
· Insurance Billing
· Weekly accounting duties as directed
· Completing administrative processing/ electronic recordkeeping
· Preparing charts for the next day
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED- some college preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience working in a healthcare office preferred
- Basic computer skills (Word, some Excel)
