Patient Care Assistant- Prn

Under the supervision of the Pre-op/PACU Nurse Manager/Director of Nursing, according to the organizational structure, and at the direction of Registered Nurses; the Patient Care Assistant supports the care of surgical patients while in the surgery center. The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: transporting of patients and equipment, assists with preparation of the pre-op/PACU and/or operating room, and properly cleaning of any area of the facility according to policy and procedures.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

• Assist patients getting into a wheelchair from a surgery and bringing them to their vehicle safely.
• Cleaning and setting up stretchers.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 LBS
