**This is a temporary position expected to last 4-5 months!**
**Will be working 28-38 hours per week**
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Patient Care Aide (PCA) will work in an enhanced capacity to drive significant clinical and operational efficiencies at the practice level. Under the supervision of a clinic Health Services Supervisor, with day-to-day direction from the clinic Provider, the PCA will focus on appointment management, workflow optimization & support, and enable growth, while also providing direct Patient Care based on state regulations and clinic scope.
- Patient Care
- Assist with managing patients in the waiting space and level set wait time expectations.
- Assist with patient registration and answer questions regarding clinicservices.
- Act as a chaperone if a patient or provider in the primary exam room requests one.
- Room patients including taking vital signs and documenting demographics, insurance, medical history, medications, allergies, vital signs and point of care test results and vaccines in the electronic medical record.
- Perform point of care testing for strep, flu, COVID, urine pregnancy and any other tests depending on clinic scope of practice
- Will complete a clinic certification process that will allow for vaccine administration in states allowed based on clinic scope of practice
- Clinic Environment
- Maintain clinic rooms and waiting area so they are clean, uncluttered, and ready for Patient Care.
- Ordering and maintaining adequate supplies for the clinic.
- Additional Duties
- Perform additional medical services under the supervision of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate, such as obtain vital signs, document in electronic health record, and assist with procedures.
- Perform administrative tasks such as inventory management, patient call backs, equipment cleaning, document management and compliance tasks, etc.
Education:
The PCA has a High School Diploma or General Equivalent Development (GED)
Experience: recentprevious health care experience or recent completion of a program such as: CNA, MA, EMT, PCT, Pharmacy Technician, Nursing Student who has completed fundamentals with clinical component, military medic program, medical student

- Ability to take and pass a FIT test with the respirators that MinuteClinic provides, and to wear the provided respirator mask when protocol requires.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
Licensure/Certifications:
The PCA must have current BLS certification (healthcare CPR course)
