Optim Orthopedics is seeking a full time Patient Account Coordinator/Front Desk Rep for our Savannah location.
Job Requirements:
Primary Duties: Duties Check-In Duties
1. Greeting patients.
2. New patient information filled out and copied.
3. Insurance cards copied.
4. Charts prepared correctly and put into bins for Medical Assistants.
5. Collecting co-pays.
6. Checking referral numbers.
7. Processing payments via credit card machine when necessary.
8. Working late one night per week.
9. Accepting X-rays and medical records for prospective new patients.
10. Making appointments when necessary.
11. Entering insurance and demographics when necessary.
12. Miscellaneous other duties as necessary.
13. Maintains strictest confidentiality.
Check-Out Duties
1. Greeting patients.
2. Scheduling follow-up appointments.
3. Preparing school/work excuses when necessary.
4. Collecting co-pays and balances due on accounts.
5. Entering insurance and demographics.
6. Preparing ticket tracking report and verifying that all (patient) tickets are accounted for.
7. Processing credit card transactions when necessary.
8. Balancing cash drawer.
9. Copying tickets/miscellaneous paper work for patients.
10. Closing out each doctor/PA at the end of clinic.
11. Working late one night per week.
12. Performs all other duties as assigned.
