Responsibilities:
The position’s main responsibilities include all of those for a Patient Access Representative to include, but not limited to, timely and accurate registrations, complete benefit verifications, patient education (regarding benefits), appropriate authorizations for services, and exceptional customer service. The Team Lead position also includes registration accuracy checks/controls; training, coaching, and motivating coworkers; assisting with technical and support needs; and special projects as assigned by management.
High school diploma and/or some college; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
Supervisory experience, 1-3 years healthcare registration experience required.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
None.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
Typing 35 words per minute. Excellent computer skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. Ability to handle extensive phone calls. Ability to educate/train groups and individuals.
WORK SCHEDULE
Normally scheduled Monday through Friday; however additional hours may be required due to increase in workload, assignment and completion of special projects. Must be flexible if required to work long or irregular hours. Some weekends/holidays may be required. Hours may fluctuate due to volume.
The Patient Access Team Lead key role is to set an excellent example of teamwork, exceptional customer service, registration accuracy, following protocols, training registration staff to ensure all aspects of registrations processes are followed.

The Patient Access Team Lead is responsible for protecting the financial health of OakBend Medical Center and providing exemplary customer service to our internal and external customers.
