Job Responsibilities
The Pathways Coach will provide assistance to the Program Director in planning, implementing and evaluation Pathways. The Pathways Coach will help students with skills building, problem identification, developing awareness of how values, strengths and passion relates to chosen careers to develop academic pathways and to oversee the computers and other equipment in the HUB.
Job Functions:
Assist Program Director in designing, developing, and conducting all recruitment and orientation for prospective Pathways participants. Work with faculty, staff and community agencies to ensure student's college and career goals are achieved.
Organizes and administers a comprehensive program of tutoring, supplemental instruction (to include computer applications), group study sessions, and other academic support workshop options for students; serves as an Academic Coach for emerging learners.
Facilitate workshops; plan College and work-based learning visits and hosting cultural events; assist participants with course advisement and career development counseling.
Assist students with skills building, problem identification, developing awareness of how values, strengths and passion relates to chosen careers to develop academic pathways and to oversee the computers and other equipment in the HUB.
Assist Program Director in representing the Pathways Program in all appropriate meetings, both on and off campus; performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer a bachelor's degree in Biology, Nursing or related science field; two years' experience in teaching, tutoring, and working with students in an educational setting. Candidate should be experienced in working with underserved populations in an educational setting.
