Clinical Pathology Associates (CPA) is expanding and currently has an opening for a full-time position in Austin, Texas. CPA is the largest private pathology practice in Austin with branches in San Antonio and Waco. We are actively recruiting a full-time Pathologists’ Assistant position in Austin. We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, detail-oriented, and dependable full-time Pathologists’ Assistant to join our growing practice. Austin has a highly educated workforce, a culturally diverse population, live music venues, great food, year-round outdoor activities, and an overall eccentric, charming local vibe. Our group covers multiple hospitals in Austin and the surrounding areas and includes weekend, holiday, and autopsy coverage which is rotated equitably among our group of PAs. We have 60,000 annual surgical cases and approximately 10 autopsies per year. We utilize transcription and voice recognition at our facilities. Our group of PAs serve as excellent mentors, and new hires will receive in-depth training. The position includes grossing simple to complex surgical specimens, performing frozen sections and autopsies, working up weekly conferences, and some traveling between hospitals. Mileage reimbursement is given between travel sites and hour reimbursement is given for weekend work. Additional responsibilities are possible depending on interest and experience.
