SalaryContract Patent Searcher/Researcher/Specialist with at least 3 years of experience with Invalidity, Freedom-to-Operate, Infringement and Patentability searching in the Chem/Bio/LifeScience disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- Assess the technology and client disclosure to understand the technical nuances of the invention or product in order to search and identify relevant prior art or patent documents.
- Utilize and navigate commercial patent databases and non-patent literature databases.
- Conduct standard IP searches such as patentability, freedom-to-operate, and invalidity.
- Write detailed and comprehensive reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following: Chemistry or Biology.
- 3 + years previous patent examining or patent searching experience is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of technical literature in the area of subject matter expertise.
- Attention to detail required.
- Capable of working independently and managing time effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to think outside the box.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $47,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
