Patent Assistant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently recruiting for a Patent Legal Assistant for a regional law firm client in Charlotte. This legal support professional will assist assigned attorneys in the firm’s patent prosecution practice. Responsibilities

• Preparation of a variety of patent office forms for submittal

• Formatting specification and responses to office actions in proper USPTO format

• Drafting of correspondence, memoranda and other documents

• Entering and tracking daily time for attorneys and paralegals

• Processing and docketing for filing

• Opening files and conducting conflict checks

• Providing administrative support to practice, as assigned, including booking travel, calendar management, client contact and expense reporting

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience supporting patent prosecution attorneys in a busy IP practice

• Patent filing experience

• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in the full MS Office Package

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong attention to detail

Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
