Description: This is an amazing opportunity to partake in a viral and growing startup donut shop. This is a hands on position focused on the entire donut production. From donut preparation (i.e., cutting, proofing, frying) to making the glazes and decorating donuts. The candidate is responsible for setting production pace and priorities, as well as monitoring product quality/quantity and maintaining cleanliness of all kitchen spaces and equipment.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience as a Pastry Chef, Kitchen Manager, Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef (or equivalent).
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
Ability to independently handle kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to follow and manage standard operating procedures to ensure established levels of product quality are met at all times.
Organizational, problem-solving and team operational skills.
Leadership skills with the ability to train others through positivity.
Ability to work on weekends (Saturdays) and holidays
Fluency in reading and communicating in English. Spanish is a plus
Other related responsibilities as assigned.
Schedule: Tues thru Saturday from 5 am to 1 pm
Competitive salary: $22-25/hr (depending on experience) plus tips
