Join Lantech as a 1st Shift Parts Shipping Team Leader in our CLIMATE CONTROLLED facility. We offer a 4-day work week with overtime opportunity, quarterly profitability bonuses, and TONS of opportunity for advancement. Our Parts Shipping Team Leader STARTS at $24.50/hr ($23.50 + $1 shift diff)

This position works 11:00am-8:00pm Monday-Thursday & 9:00am-6:00pm Friday

Why You Matter:

Shipping Team Leader will lead and direct daily activities of the spare Parts Shipping department, including productivity, quality, service, and on-time delivery in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring customer requirements and organization goals are achieved.

Responsible for development and growth of Inventory Control, Picking, Packing, Freight, Warranty, including recommendation of and justification for departmental changes needed for this growth. Communicate regularly with parts coordinators, service, scheduling, and production to ensure on-time delivery of product in a fast-paced shipping department.

Here's a Glimpse at What you'll Do:

  • Ensures all work is performed in a safe, clean, productive environment. Promotes safety and housekeeping by following established safety rules and procedures.
  • Assure the timely and accurate processing and shipment of spare part and retrofit orders.
  • Assure the timely processing of customer warranty claims and reporting.
  • Maintain and optimize spare parts inventory levels.
  • Identify and implement improvements to spare parts inventory, shipping and warranty claims processes

What are We Looking For? (Requirements)

We are looking for someone who:

  • Must be detail-oriented to be successful in this position.
  • Must possess problem solving skills to research root cause and corrective action.
  • Ability to use MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, WinMan (ERP).
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement work area improvements.
  • Is able to read and follow instructions in English (standardized work).
  • Is able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Practices safe work habits as an individual and with co-workers.
  • Adheres to guidelines related to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Is a team-oriented individual with good interaction/communication skills.
  • Is detail-oriented and able to work effectively within the fast-paced production environment.
  • Knows safety equipment and is aware of machine safety procedures
  • Is able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Is able stand for 9-10 hours per day
  • Is able to pass a pre-employment physical demand screen (includes a work simulation; lifting up to 50 lbs.)
  • Is able to pass a pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.
  • Is willing and able to work overtime to complete project and/or meet scheduling deadlines.
  • Is legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Material Presentation or equivalent work pertaining to inventory management, packaging and/or shipment of material.
  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Team Leader experience strongly desired for this position.

Desired Skills:

  • Ability to work within a deadline under pressure and handle interruptions.
  • Shipping experience with UPS, USPS, FedEx, DHL, LTL
  • Export International shipping.
  • Shipping and/or Inventory management experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge of and exposure to Lean Manufacturing tools and principles (Kanban, Standardized work, 5S)
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish)
