Parts Runner

The Parts Runner Associate:

Will spend the majority of the time in parts delivery and vehicle transfers. CDL not required but a big plus! Additional time will be spent doing general administrative duties. Applicants should have exceptional communication skills and the ability to work efficiently. Hours are approximately 7:00a - 5:00p

What you will do:

• Travel to manufacturers and shipping hubs to pick up parts and supplies.
• Receive and resolve parts requests that may come in via e-mail, telephone, and direct communication from team members or customers.
• Investigate parts requirements through multiple information sources i.e. parts diagrams/manuals, online manufacturer or vendor websites.
• Input orders into the computer.
• Maintain Internal and External customer follow-up via phone and/or email communication.
• Place backorders with vendors.
• Fill out purchase orders accurately.
• Receive and invoice direct ship orders.
• Make outbound calls to customers.
• Stay up to date on the latest products which may include training.
• Communicate to management changes in the marketplace and any ways to improve the company, or the way we serve our customers.
• Work overtime as needed to maintain company business operations.
• Assist Parts Manager when needed per their request.

Warehouse Duties

• Help in warehouse duties such as shipping and receiving for UPS, FedEx, LTL
• Prepare for parts inventory.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation and warehouse.

Competencies Skills and Abilities:

• Dependable/Reliable.
• CDL Preferred.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work within deadlines & accomplish objectives.
• Good communication and phone skills with ability to interact and work well with team members and customers.
• Must be able to drive a company vehicle and have a good driving record.
• Computer literate with some working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word.
• Maintain a clean and efficient workstation.
• Stay current with product knowledge, such as new products and product improvements.
• Problem solving abilities.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One-year work experience in Courier or parts running.
• Computer literate, with experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word.

• Required to drive to and from warehouses and shops for parts pick up
• Required to regularly use hands in a grip motion with the ability to hold and control tools.
• Required to regularly sit, crawl under equipment, and to ascend & descend a ladder.
• Required to regularly stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop and kneel.
• Required to regularly push and pull up to 75 pounds.
• Occasionally required to lift 50 pounds and to be able to lift and carry 45 pounds.
• The employee must be able to work around fumes, odors, chemicals and/or loud noises.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
• The employee may be required to operate a forklift with appropriate certification(s).

• The employee may be exposed to sunlight as not all work is performed in a covered shop environment.

Physical Strength:

Lifting: up to 75lbs. Daily, frequent exertion.
