As a Parts Runner at Heritage, you will play a critical role in assisting our field technicians by providing timely and accurate delivery of parts, materials, and equipment to job sites. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our technicians have the necessary supplies to complete their tasks efficiently and deliver exceptional service to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Parts and Equipment Delivery:
- Safely and efficiently transport parts, materials, tools, and equipment from the warehouse to job sites as directed by the dispatch team or field technicians.
- Ensure that all items are securely loaded and unloaded to prevent damage during transportation.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Inventory Management:
- Assist in managing and organizing the inventory at the warehouse to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Regularly check stock levels of frequently used parts and inform the Warehouse team of any shortages or reordering needs.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of all parts and equipment delivered, including quantities, locations, and delivery times.
- Submit delivery logs and receipts for documentation and billing purposes.
- Communication:
- Communicate effectively with the dispatch team, field technicians, and the Parts Manager to coordinate delivery schedules and ensure timely responses to urgent requests.
- Report any issues or delays in delivery promptly to the appropriate personnel.
- Vehicle Maintenance:
- Ensure the company vehicle used for deliveries is well-maintained and in good working condition.
- Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle to check for any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations while driving and delivering parts.
- Follow company safety guidelines and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Customer Service:
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers and representatives at job sites.
- Provide friendly and helpful service, representing the company in a positive manner.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a similar role, such as delivery driver or Parts Runner, is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and delivery schedules.
- Physical fitness to lift and carry 50 pound items as needed.
