NAPA Auto Parts is seeking a versatile and customer-focused individual to fill the role of Parts Puller/Delivery Driver. This position combines the responsibilities of efficiently retrieving automotive parts from inventory with the additional duty of delivering these parts to our valued customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a thorough understanding of automotive parts, and a commitment to providing exceptional service both in the warehouse and on the road.
Responsibilities:
- Retrieve automotive parts from inventory based on customer orders and invoices.
- Accurately identify parts using cataloging systems, part numbers, and descriptions.
- Utilize various tools and equipment, such as hand trucks and forklifts, to transport parts within the warehouse.
- Prepare parts orders for delivery by carefully packaging and securing items for transport.
- Safely load parts onto delivery vehicles in accordance with company procedures and safety guidelines.
- Navigate delivery routes efficiently using GPS or other navigation tools.
- Deliver parts to customers in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and completeness of orders.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, including assistance with unloading and verifying orders.
- Collect payments and obtain customer signatures as needed.
- Maintain delivery vehicles in clean and operational condition, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns to management.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating company vehicles.
- Assist in receiving and stocking incoming inventory shipments as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding inventory levels, order status, and customer feedback.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines both in the warehouse and while driving.
- Participate in periodic inventory counts and audits as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, automotive, or delivery driver role preferred.
- Knowledge of automotive parts and their applications.
- Ability to read and interpret part numbers, descriptions, and catalogs.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in basic computer skills, including navigating inventory management systems and GPS.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 pounds, on a regular basis.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
