We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Parts Order Analyst in Miami Lakes, FL.
The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. Job Summary
The Parts Order Analyst will serve as the primary dealer, customer, subsidiary, etc., contact for all Parts Distribution (PD) order matters; or acquires knowledge to analyze, interpret and communicate accurate and timely technical information to answer inquiries from dealers and customers.

- This position is based in Miami Lakes, FL and does not offer relocation
- This position requires flexibility to cover counterparts on 2nd shift (12pm-8:30pm)
- This position is 100% on-site with no flexibility for hybrid or remote schedules
What You Will Do:
- Resolve Parts Order exceptions; assist parts expediting to meet machine down and contractual obligations;
- Provides ongoing training/instruction to dealer personnel on Parts Systems usage and changes. Handles daily interpretation of policies and procedures to determine compliance. Assists dealer personnel in evaluating special requirements.
- Resolves and responds to complaints and concerns with the customer service team as well as other Parts Distribution departments (i.e. Accounting, Quality Control, Storeroom Order filling and Shipping, Planning, Inventory Control, etc.) so that service standards are achieved to maintain the highest level of user satisfaction.
- Reviews requests and orders for reasonableness and controls the timely entry and processing of dealer and customer order requirements.
- Determines alternative sources to satisfy urgent requirements by considering supplier/processor direct shipments; higher and lower level of support (i.e. disassembly or building up a group); dealer returns; removing material from Cat assembly lines; and dealer search.
- Researches back order files, in-transit files, shipping records, etc. to locate urgently needed material.
- Investigates transportation alternatives and subsidiary timetables in order to recommend the most logical and cost effective approach to satisfy a sales/support request. These positions have direct contact with numerous customers and Marketing Unit representatives.
- Coordinates the investigation of dealer and customer complaints on a variety of parts related questions. Issues include: quality of shipments, lost shipments, parts shortages, packaging, order entry difficulties, non-serviced items, invoicing, etc.
What You Have (Basic Skills Required):
- High school diploma/GED
- Inventory Management - MFG : Knowledge of processes and methods of inventory management; ability to effectively manage local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods.
- Data Analytics : Knowledge of techniques and processes for inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modeling data; ability to discover useful information, draw logical conclusions, and support decision-making.
- Problem Solving : Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Materials Handling and Management : Knowledge of material handling and management in plants; ability to perform, monitor and improve processes related to storage, transportation and handling of raw and hazardous materials.

- HAZMAT Certification
- Distribution Requirements Planning, ANTARES Parts Ordering, and/or SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management)
