Parts Manager- Stroom Powersports

Job Summary
Manages parts operations within the dealership to provide the highest level of external and internal customer satisfaction while maximizing return on investment through parts sales, inventory control, and expense control. Optimizes parts department processes. Attracts, retains, and effectively engages department personnel.  Works with and supports the following manufacturers:  Indian Motorcycle, BMW Motorrad, Honda, Polaris, Ducati, and KTM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develops, communicates, enforces and monitors effective Parts Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction
• Works with General Manager to create annual Parts Department goals and budget, in alignment with the organization's financial and operational objectives
• Develops and executes Parts Department marketing plan and monitors monthly to ensure achievement of departmental goals
• Maintains an accurate and effective parts inventory control system that includes a perpetual and/or annual physical inventory and proper counter procedures 
• Submits all parts warranty and return claims within the required time frame to receive maximum credit
• Ensures all department tools, equipment and vehicles are in good working order
• Works with the HR team to manage recruiting, staffing and employee development activities for employees reporting to this position
• Works to achieve a score of 80% or better on the parts quarterly audit 
• Provides parts recommendations including alternatives that meet customers needs

Position Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Parts Department operations 
• 2+ years experience within the powersports industry
• Experience leading others
• Ability to use various software's to conduct day-to-day work supporting the Parts Department 
• Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups
• Basic understanding of financial principles relative to Parts Department operations 
• Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports
• Ability to work a Tuesday-Saturday work schedule.  Additional hours or days may be needed during busies time(s)
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs
