Hours: 7am-3:30pm Mon-Fri
The Parts Lead provides day-to-day direction for workers to achieve VPI objectives. This person will serve as a point of contact for this department and will fill in as/when needed for the supervisor. As a direct employee, he or she will work closely with team members helping to provide cross-training and encourage continuous improvement. This employee will set the example for productivity, quality of work and be supportive of VPI management. This employee will also serve as a backup to the Parts Customer Service Team.
Position Responsibilities:
- To be the main contact point between all departments for day-to-day needs
- To help train and or delegate training of new employees as needed. Performs job instruction training.
- To set weekly work schedules for the team members
- To encourage and coach for peak performance of employees while holding team members accountable
- To assist in performing performance reviews and give quality feedback on performance issues
- Maintain a working knowledge of SYSPRO Impact as it pertains to inventory
- Highlights and pursues Continuous Improvement opportunities
- Occasionally assist with phone calls and emails regarding customer inquiries and parts specification and availability while delivering a positive relationship-based approach to customer interactions.
- Responsible for daily invoicing, releasing backordered parts, and creating PW jobs
Minimum Qualifications:
- Positive attitude
- Detail oriented
- Proven ability to lead a team, accept feedback
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Customer service skills
- Ability to occasionally lift 45 lbs.
- High School Diploma
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year + experience in Parts
- Proficient working with email and inventory databases
