Parts Handler

Overview
We have a need for a Parts Handler to join our team in Bloomfield, Connecticut. Our Parts Handler ensures that product is delivered throughout the Value Stream in order to meet manufacturing and customer requirements.
Kaman Specialty Bearings & Engineered Products, a division of Kaman Corporation, is a leader in the design and manufacture of high technology mechanical products used in aviation, marine, hydropower and other industrial applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinates the flow of production parts between various departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules. Delivers parts to production areas.
• May work in other areas on routine tasks as needed.
• Identifies problem areas. Reports issues to Sr. Production Control Scheduler or Value Stream Manager.
• Maintains clean and safe work environment. Follows safety and environmental procedures and processes. Reports safety incidents to supervisor.
• Makes recommendations for improvements to work processes. Contributes to 5 S program in work area.
• Provides a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contributes to positive teamwork environment.

Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma, GED
Experience: 1-3 years production or expediting in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge Essential to the Position:
Business applications - Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
Kamatics Production System
Necessary Skills:
Self-starter; ability to work with minimal supervision
Teamwork; ability to communicate well with all functional areas
Physical Demands:
Frequent (70-80%) lifting and moving materials up to 50 lbs.
Frequent mental and visual attention.
