Parts Clerk/Cashier

Holt CAT is the largest Caterpillar dealership of heavy equipment in the US. We have a Parts Clerk/Cashier position available in Victoria, Texas. The hours are Mon-Fri - 7 AM - 5 PM. This position is responsible for performing the parts cashier transactions and parts clerk functions in a positive, caring, and timely manner to ensure that the customers’ needs are met in a manner that is aligned with our mission and core values.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for performing the parts cashier transactions and parts clerk functions in a positive, caring, and timely manner to ensure that the customers’ needs are met in a manner that is aligned with our mission and core values. This position may also perform receptionist and other clerical functions.

Essential Functions:

• Handle all incoming calls and phone correspondence in an accurate, courteous, professional, and timely manner to ensure external/internal customer satisfaction
• Perform clerical/cashier/will call duties in a positive, accurate, and timely manner to ensure internal/external customer needs are met
• Assists counter sales representatives and warehouse personnel with pulling and stocking functions and processing of these transactions to exceed customer expectations
• Organizes and completes special assigned projects in an accurate and timely manner.Safety alignment
• Parts pulling, stocking, and order processing are completed in a timely, accurate manner
• All phone correspondence is handled professionally (politely, efficiently, and in a caring manner) as measured by feedback from external/internal customers
• Clerical functions are handled accurately as measured by feedback from the parts manager and supervisor's observation
• Accurate, timely, and supportive completion of transactions and maintaining customer satisfaction will be measured by customer surveys by both Caterpillar and Holt Cat. Major and/or continued progress of errors will be monitored by management and discussed in performance reviews and as needed throughout the year.

A qualified candidate must have the following skills or abilities:

• This position requires a well-organized, thoughtful, and self-motivated person with good phone and people skills
• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience required. Previous cashier experience preferred
• Must have GED or High School diploma
• Must be proficient with computers (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Must be able to work the hours of the position which are 7 AM – 5 PM – Monday – Friday. Occasional additional hours as required
• Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to perform cash and credit card transactions and related account balancing and supporting paperwork
• Must be highly organized and have excellent attention to detail
• Must have excellent attendance and work performance
• Must be self-motivated with a high commitment to completing tasks promptly
