Parts Clerk

We are a manufacturing and distribution company currently looking for a Maintenance Parts Clerk. The position requires developing a relationship with suppliers-being consistent with price, quality and on time delivery. The position is responsible for ordering and keeping inventory of all parts.

Essential Job Functions

• Order parts for maintenance department by contacting vendors online or by phone (obtain price quotes).
• Prepare purchase orders.
• Receive and verify all incoming ordered parts, contact vendors of any issues with failed mechanical and electrical components.
• Pick up parts when needed.
• Monitor shipments to ensure that parts come in on time (trace shipments; follow up on undelivered parts, etc.).
• Maintain accurate inventory files and records of all parts (manually and computer based) including price list, shortages and shipments.
• Create credits for unused or incorrectly ordered parts.
• Periodic audits of inventory supplies.
• Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage area in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year minimum experience in a related field. • Valid Driver License and Clean DMV Record.

Skills and Knowledge

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to all team members.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
