Job Summary
The Dow Autoplex is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Parts Assistant to help our valued customers get the auto parts they need. The Parts Assistant will work in a busy retail environment and will assist the Parts Manager with providing exceptional customer service while accurately assisting customers in finding the correct products. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.

Responsibilities
• Identify and locate parts customers need in the inventory
• Handle customer inquiries in person and via phone
• Handle parts sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Assist with stocking shelves, unloading shipments, processing returns and helping to maintain a clean store
• Fill customer orders quickly and accurately
• Suggest other related items that could complete the customer’s purchase
• Maintain, manage, and update parts inventory
• Assist with general housekeeping duties in order to maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Prior retail or customer service experience required
• Ability to operate basic computer functions
• Knowledge of auto parts and be able to identify part numbers
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Professional manner and appearance
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
