Job description

NJ/NY Gotham FC (“Gotham FC” or “the Club”) is a National Women’s Soccer League (“NWSL”) team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ.
The Role:
Gotham FC is seeking a Partnerships Coordinator that will report to the Manager, Partnership Strategy. The Partnerships Coordinator is a vital part of the organization with a unique opportunity to support sales, service, and strategy for current and new partners. This is a dynamic role that collaborates across the organization via touchpoints with the marketing, fan experience, ticket sales, communications, community, consumer products, and soccer operations teams to execute successful partnership activations. This role will also provide direct administrative support as needed. The role demands excellent communication, time management, organizational, and relationship management skills. The ideal candidate is upbeat, a team player, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and passionate about women’s sports.
Key Responsibilities:
Partnership Marketing
  • Work with the Partnership Marketing team on the management and fulfillment of agreements for high-level partnership accounts.
  • Opportunity to deliver creative marketing concepts and strategies that achieve partner objectives and deliver for fans and/or players.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and partners to ensure contracted assets are in place and activated. Assets include, but are not limited to, signage, events, social media, and hospitality.
  • Build and maintain partnership asset trackers.
  • Work with other departments to secure reporting and metrics for partner activations.
  • Support the creation of partner activation, mid-year, and end of season recaps.
  • Assist with entertaining and hosting high-level corporate executives.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to partnership agreements.
  • Coordinate logistics for partnership-related events.
Business Development
  • Maintain detailed partner databases and pipeline.
  • Work closely with the Business Development team to create tailored, compelling partnership proposals that effectively communicate the benefits of partnering with GFC.
  • Conduct thorough research to help the Business Development team identify potential brand partners aligned with Gotham FC’s mission and values.
  • Support the development of outreach strategies and pitches for prospective brands.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with existing and potential partners, serving as a central point of contact.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum 1-2 years of sports marketing/corporate partnerships' experience preferred
  • Must possess strong communication skills and be comfortable with engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written), staying attuned to others through strong, active listening skills
  • Self-starter with ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects, and a willingness to ask for help when needed
  • High proficiency in Google Workspace
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Sense of urgency paired with outstanding customer service skills and judgment
  • Excellent organizational & interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
Capability & Other Characteristics:
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong familiarity with sports, especially soccer
  • Passion for growing women’s sports
  • Awareness / knowledge of local NJ / NY market
  • Bi-lingual preferred but not required (English/Spanish)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand comfortably for extended periods of time
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
Location:
Based at Gotham FC’s business office, which is located at 15 Exchange Place, Jersey City, New Jersey, on a hybrid working schedule which consists of three core in-office/in-person days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and two non-core days (Monday and Friday), with the option of being in the business office or remote. Ability to attend all home games and any mandatory events as well as away games, as necessary. A willingness to travel for other business-related needs, as they arise. Ability to work at the team’s soccer operations office in Whippany, New Jersey, as needed. Gotham FC requires its associates to live in its market, that is, within reasonable commuting distance of Gotham FC’s offices, practice facility and Red Bull Arena.
