*Brand New Recovery House serving adult males of Allegheny County looking for part time technician for second (3p.m.-11p.m.) and third (11p.m.-7a.m.) shifts on the weekend and to fill in PRN as needed.
The Recovery House Technician will be an integral part of the JADE Wellness Center Recovery House. As a technician of the Recovery House, one will be responsible for assisting residents within the day-to-day operations of the house, ensuring a supportive and structured environment. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, leadership skills and organizational skills, as well as be a self-started and able to work well individually or within a group setting. Will report to House Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Resident Support- Assist residents with daily living activities and encourage the development of life skills. Provide emotional support, guidance, and encouragement to residents in their recovery process. Foster a positive and respectful atmosphere.
Supervision and Monitoring of Residents- Enforce house rules and policies to maintain a structured and safe environment. Monitor residents to ensure compliance with program requirements and provide feedback on progress.
Crisis Intervention- Respond promptly to emergencies or crises, following established protocols. Collaborate with House Manager and other professionals to address critical situations.
Documentation- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident’s activities, incidents, and progress. Assist with administrative tasks, including resident intake and discharge processes.
Community Engagement- Support the coordination of recreational and educational activities for residents. Foster a sense of community among residents through group activities and events.
Working Conditions: The position may require flexible hours, including evenings, overnights and weekends, to accommodate the needs of the residents and the program.
Skills:
-Preferred, PCB Certification as a Certified Recovery Specialist, and all applicable training within 1 year of hire or willing to get CRS certification.
-Minimum 18 months of continuous recovery.
-High School Diploma or GED.
-A Valid PA Driver’s license.
-Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal
-Relevant knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines
-Accurate documentation for reporting purposes
-Ability to demonstrate coping skills
-Ability to acknowledge and enforce boundaries with consumers
