This role is a part-time role with our organization, we are looking for people who would like to earn extra money. This position would not have a set schedule, but hours would be dependent on open shifts that would occur sporadically.
Employees will be able to accept shifts as they receive texts of openings and schedule through our scheduling system.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
- Work in the operator job class requires the tear-down of consumer electronics, including harvesting, sorting, and separating component products, checking output to ensure quality, and keeping records of production quantities by number, weight, and processing time. Employees may operate a variety of tools and equipment in the performance of daily tasks or may specialize in the operation of specific types of equipment.
- Positions generally perform basic tear-down and/or destruction duties and operate standard equipment in the performance of recurring tasks with established parameters and limited variety.
- Demonstrates recognition of basic electronic components
- Safely removes electronic components without damaging
- Sorts electronic components by model or part number
- Tears down remaining equipment and sorts by material (plastic, metal, etc.)
- Able to speak, read, and understand the English language in verbal communication
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions
- Able to stand for up to 8 hours or more
- Able to walk, climb stairs, bend, and reach to work with equipment throughout an 8-hour shift
- Able to lift, carry, pull, and push up to 50 pounds
- Able to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment
- Able to use hand tools (e.g., power drill, pliers, etc.)
- Able to work with exposure to mechanical and electrical currents
- Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Able to learn and apply new concepts
