Job Title: Part-Time Waldorf Teacher for Fifth Grade Student

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Waldorf teacher to provide holistic education to our fifth-grade student in our home. As a part-time Waldorf Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment that aligns with the principles of Waldorf education. We utilize the Oak Meadow Curriculum.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the Oak Meadow curriculum and augment and implement a Waldorf-inspired learning environment for a fifth-grade student.
• Create a warm and harmonious learning environment within our home.
• Cooking, chores, animal care are part of the daily rhythm.
• Incorporate storytelling, art, music, movement, and other Waldorf methods into lessons.
• Explore nearby parks, libraries, home schooling events and activities to enhance the learning experience.
• Foster a love for learning and curiosity in the student.
• Assess and track the student's progress and adjust the curriculum as needed. Submit the student’s work through Google to Oak Meadow.
• Encourage creativity and imagination in all aspects of education.
• Communicate regularly with the student's parents regarding progress and areas of improvement.
• Maintain a safe and supportive learning atmosphere.

Qualifications:

• Waldorf teacher certification or training preferred.
• Previous experience as a Waldorf teacher is a strong advantage.
• Deep understanding and commitment to Waldorf education principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, nurturing, and empathetic approach to teaching.
• Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Flexibility and adaptability in teaching methods.

Schedule and Compensation:

• The position is part-time, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week.
• Compensation will be discussed during the interview process.
