Description: The RTI Tutor ensures that students identified with an academic need receive proper intervention and progress monitoring to increase student academic achievement.
This is a grant funded position through ESSER III and continuation of the position beyond the 2022-2023 school year is dependent upon continued funding.
Performance Responsibilities:
1. Assists classroom teachers with appropriate research-based intervention strategies and materials for working with students identified as needing a response to intervention.
2. Assumes caseload of students who are identified as needing intervention as directed by the Response to Intervention team.
3. Completes intervention screening and progress monitoring of students as needed.
4. Completes all required records and reports.
5. Uses oral and written communication skills effectively.
6. Performs such other duties as assigned by the principal or the Chief Academic Officer.
Qualifications:
1. Obtained an associate's or higher degree; or
2. Completed two years of study at an institution of higher education
3. Two-years of successful experience working with children
4. Experience with intervention programs and/or screeners preferred
5. Strong verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
6. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.

$16.50-$20.00/hr (depending on education and experience), not to exceed 28 hours per week
