Part Time Therapist

Cal Mind and Heart (CMH) is a Group Private Practice in Los Angeles, CA that provides individual therapy, in-person and telehealth.

LOCATION:

This position can be fully remote or you may choose a hybrid of in office/remote if you prefer to do hybrid. Our office is at 22148 Sherman Way, Suite 204, Canoga Park, CA 91303. The majority of our clients prefer telehealth.

COMPENSATION:

Associate Level Clinicians: $25 per hour for associate level clinicians with licensed supervision included at the practice. This position is per diem: work the schedule and number of hours you want to work (maximum is 35 hours per week) and get paid per client session, with an additional $20 per hour for each client session, for a total of $45 per hour for client sessions. Minimum requirement is 40 sessions per month.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Successful completion of master’s or doctorate degree in social work, Clinical psychology, marriage and family therapy, professional counseling, or related degree from an accredited school.

The candidate must be Pre-Licensed (AMFT, ACSW or APCC) with Existing CA Associate Registered Licensing number and in good-standing with the BBS of CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 3-5 minute documentation
• Completion of biopsychosocial assessment, diagnosis, mental status exam, treatment plan, and intake progress note for intake sessions
• Completion of progress notes for follow up sessions
• Follow mandated reporting requirements
• Safety planning
• Ongoing consultation with clinical supervisor and treatment team

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

• Engage in appropriate written and verbal communication with clients, referral sources and other professionals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to write progress notes efficiently, concisely, and in a timely manner.
• Ability to manage time effectively.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in basic computer skills.
• Able to maintain clear boundaries with clients and staff.
• Spanish speaking is a plus, not required
