Job Summary
Columbus State University has an opening for a part-time Testing Assistant in the CSU Testing Center.
The CSU Testing Center is a nationally certified test center that provides institutional testing, professional certification and licensure tests, other academic tests, and test administration services for current and prospective CSU students, students of other educational institutions, and the community at large.
This position will be responsible for proctoring exams and providing support for all testing center functions for both in-person and remote (online) testing.
Responsibilities
Major responsibilities include:
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of testing policies, practices, and procedures
  • Prepare workstations for testing
  • Admit test takers and verify identity
  • Explain testing procedures
  • Launch exams and seat test takers
  • Monitor test taker behavior via walk-throughs, audio/video surveillance, and screen management software
  • Troubleshoot technical problems
  • Answer basic questions about all tests
  • Clean workstations
  • Track payments from students for online testing
  • Maintain proctoring records for online testing
  • Run reports and reconcile payments for online testing

Required Qualifications
Associates degree withwork experience in academic testing (in-person or remote), higher education student services or academic affairs is highly desirable. Must maintain test and personal information in strict confidence. Students are not eligible for this position.
Baccalaureate degree is preferred.
Proposed Salary
The salary is $12-$17 per hour.
