Position Profile
Responsible for accurately processing a variety of member transactions and inquiries while providing Great Personalized Service (GPS). Actively build relationships with members, identify financial needs, and refer products and services to meet those needs. Maintain security of cash, checks, and member information.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties
• Completes efficient and accurate member transactions, including, but not limited to:
o Deposits
o Withdrawals
o Transfers
o Payments
o Cash Advances
o Coin Orders/Currency Processing
o Official Checks/Money Orders
• Examine cash and checks for validity, proper endorsement and negotiability
• Follow policies and procedures to minimize risk
• Actively cross-sell credit union products and services
• Complete end of day balancing cash and checks
• May perform opening and closing duties of the teller area
• Support and promote team spirit by assisting others in the department and in other areas of the credit union when applicable

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills
• Display professional image and maintain a positive, service-oriented attitude
• Reasoning and analytical skills
• Well organized, accurate, efficient, detail-oriented and able to work independently or on a team
• Math aptitude and keyboarding skills
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office products
• Problem solving skills
• Flexibility to meet the changing demands of the organization
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Previous customer service experience
• Previous cash handling experience
Physical Requirements
• Prolonged periods sitting and/or standing at a desk in a stationary position and working on a computer (70% or more)
• Constant Use of hands/fingers for use of a computer or other office equipment
• Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching to maintain files
• Ability to talk/hear/see to communicate ideas and information so others will understand, and to observe details at close range
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
