SalaryPropel Swim Academy is a state-of-the-art swim facility located in South Riding, Virginia. We are family-owned and operated and offer a wide range of swim programs. We are hiring a competitive swim coach for our Ignite Swim and Stroke School Programs!
Ignite Swim is a swim team-style practice that offers instruction to athletes of various ages and abilities, from 8 years old to high school. The goal of the Ignite Swim program is to provide competitive swim instruction to swimmers who are looking to improve their skills during the offseason from summer league or high school swim team.
The Stroke School Program features 4 skill-based levels that aim to teach the finer details of Butterfly, Breaststroke, Turns, and Racing Skills in a smaller group clinic environment with a maximum of 6 swimmers per coach.
Our athletes swim anywhere from 1 to 3 sessions per week. Many are enrolled in both the Ignite and Stroke School Programs simultaneously.
Our coaches take pride in using their competitive swimming knowledge to teach and encourage a love for the sport of swimming in young and developing swimmers!

Who is the ideal candidate for this position?
- A swim coach with a passion for developing young swimmers.
- An enthusiastic coach who is goal-oriented and willing to work in tandem with other Ignite and Stroke School coaches.
- A coach who can work on Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons.
Candidates may also be eligible to coach Stroke School programs on other weekday afternoons/evenings. Eligible candidates may also add additional working hours teaching in our Parent/Child, Learn To Swim, and Adult Swim programs! Coaches for all programs except Ignite must be willing to work in the water with their students (don't worry, it's warm!).
Previous coaching experience is required for this position.
Compensation: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Our team is made up of 28 amazing Swim Instructors and 5 Customer Support Team Members from various backgrounds and ranging from age 17 to 55!
Our goal is to provide a unique swim lesson experience for swimmers of all ages! We currently teach around 1500 swimmers every week who range in age from our little 3-month old swim babies all the up to adults in their 60's!
Our facility is one-of-a-kind, featuring 3 different pools that cater directly to specific age groups and skill levels. The water in each pool is heated to 90 degrees and the air temperature in our pool area is kept at 92 degrees, creating a luxurious, warm environment for both our swimmers and our swim instructors year-round. This is like no swim facility you have ever been to!
Member schools are independently owned and operated. Your application will go directly to the member school, and all hiring decisions will be made by the management of this school. All inquiries about employment at these schools should be made directly to the school location, and not to US Swim School Association.
