Youth and Family Alternatives, Inc. (YFA) is a progressive not-for-profit organization of 300+ staff who are dedicated to working in partnership with communities and families to create a safe, nurturing environment for children and to lead the way in building a bridge for children to have a stable and loving family. Established in 1970, YFA has been around for over 50 years, with services spanning seven counties across Florida.

The Stop Now and Plan Program serves children ages 6-11 years old experiencing impulse and emotional control issues. This program helps children and their parents learn how to effectively manage emotions, become consistent and keep problems small. This is done through a 13-week program that meets weekly.
The Stop Now and Plan facilitator is responsible for administering the Stop Now and Plan curriculum to the parent or child group. The facilitator must attend the 5-day core SNAP training once hired. In addition, before group begins, the facilitator will assist in completing a prebrief and debrief before and after each group, meeting with the families if they are to need further assistance with the curriculum.
Requirements:WHAT YOU NEED:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience teaching children preferred
