Location: St. Michaels, Maryland

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the overall success of our restaurant by providing excellent service to our guests. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Guest Interaction:

Greet and seat guests, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring guests' preferences and dietary restrictions are noted.

• Order Communication:

Effectively communicate guest orders to the kitchen team, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of dishes. Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure seamless coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house operations.

• Service Excellence:

Deliver dishes to tables promptly and accurately, adhering to presentation standards.
Provide attentive and friendly service throughout the dining experience, addressing any guest concerns or requests.

• Upselling and Menu Knowledge:

Promote additional menu items, beverages, and specials to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. Maintain a thorough understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and flavor profiles.

• Billing and Payment:

Process guest payments accurately, handling cash and electronic transactions with proficiency. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth transitions between dining phases, including turnover of tables.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Server in a restaurant setting, with a focus on delivering exceptional service. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team. Adaptability to a fast-paced environment and the ability to handle high-pressure situations. Attention to detail and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. A passion for hospitality and a desire to contribute to the overall dining experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift loads up to 50 lbs and navigate the dining area efficiently.
