We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Student for a Part Time Sales Developer role. Our company is a leader in the rapidly growing Data Acquisition and power analyzer hardware markets. The Sales Developer will help identify high-potential customers in the Eastern US and use LinkedIn, social media, news articles, and the internet to build a database of potential contacts. The role requires a strategic approach to prospecting, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the Data Acquisition Hardware market and its applications. The Sales Developer will work closely with the Eastern US Sales Manager and marketing teams to target specific areas and industries.
This role will not require any “cold calling” or reading scripts. You may be given the opportunity for additional responsibilities such as setting up TEAMS meetings, calling possible clients, etc. We are primarily looking for someone to help with prospecting, that has a general knowledge of DAQ hardware.
You will be given a geographic area to target (Orlando, FL, for example). You will research Orlando and determine potential customers that we should contact, the best employees and their contact information. To be successful in this role, you will need to understand and report on:
- WHAT a particular facility SPECIFICALLY produces/does through research and investigation (i.e. AC electric motor manufacturer for ceiling fans)
- WHERE they are typically used in a facility (Lab, Shop Floor, Test Bench, Etc.)
- WHO would use them in that facility (Test Engineer, R&D Manager, Etc.)
- WHY we need to see them ASAP (new government contract, expansions, etc.)
Key Responsibilities
- Identify new potential customers in the Data Acquisition and power analyzer hardware market through research, networking, and outreach.
- Build a database in assigned markets of potential clients, including engineers, researchers, and decision-makers in target industries.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective strategies and campaigns.
- Attend TEAMS meetings, on occasion, to learn about the features and benefits of our Data Acquisition Hardware solutions.
- Attend TEAMS product demos to customers, when applicable.
- Provide regular reports and updates on prospecting activities.
- Enter contacts into SalesForce
Ideal candidate:
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- A private investigator style approach to finding high quality contacts (Mutual connections, LinkedIn, Google, News Articles, Press Releases, Etc.)
- Candidates with working knowledge of DAQ systems and/or Power Analyzer experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience using SalesForce CRM software to manage new customers and contacts preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of professionalism and integrity, with a commitment to delivering results on time.
