D1 Training is a 5-Star training facility in Armonk, NY and we are seeking a talented, high energy Sales Associate to join our team! D1 is an athletic-based group training facility for adults and youth athletes ages 7 and up with a mission of providing the best fitness philosophy and facility to its athletes, empowering them to improve themselves by efficiently and consistently reaching their fitness goals. Our coaches train our athletes and clients to get stronger, faster, and leaner while also focusing on joint mobility, recovery, and nutrition. At D1, our promise to our athletes is: “You pick the goal, we help you get there” and D1 Coaches are the catalysts for our fulfillment of that promise.
Key Goals and Vision for this Position:
Under the supervision of the GM, the Sales Associate will serve as our brand ambassador both inside and outside the facility. In this hybrid role, the Sales Associate will be responsible for connecting our brand and culture with the local community, schedule appointments for both individuals and teams at our facility, and close qualified individuals and teams on appropriate D1 services. MUST BE COMFORTABLE IN A FAST-PACED SALES ENVIRONMENT.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to all customers
- Assist customers in finding the right products and making purchasing decisions. Generate revenue through sales of all D1 offerings but not limited to: memberships, personal training, and team training.
- Coordinate with Coaches on trial workouts and membership closures.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system (Mindbody) accurately and efficiently.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and new technology sales
- Answer phone calls, manage lead generation, follow ups, and respond to customer inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
- Handle customer complaints or concerns with patience and problem-solving skills
- Execute daily and weekly logistics as needed on-site
- Be a Team Player – pitch in with cleaning and safety as outlined by the General Manager
- Meet or exceed sales goals and targets
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills to manage new leads and current customers and keep track of sales records
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all potential prospects, owners, GM, associates, coaches, athletes, parents, and community members.
- Experience in direct sales and grassroot marketing, particularly in fitness sales, is preferred
- Ability to understand and engage in the community to effectively market the D1 product in the local market
- Proficient in Google Sheets and other Google Suite applications, as well as point of sales systems (MindBody is a plus)
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and follow-through skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills to provide a positive experience
