Are you focused on giving great customer service, while working to meet store and individual goals? Do you love to connect with each consumer to help them find what they are looking for and more, while having an eye for merchandising and the in store experience? A mix of client services and design chops, our Retail Associate is key in building relationships and delivering the exceptional hospitality that keeps clients coming back.
Mayker’s flagship is a small interior design and home goods shop based in Nashville’s Germantown neighborhood. We are looking for a weekend associate who is available to work 2-4 days per week (ideally Thursday-Sunday, but weekends are a necessity). There is opportunity to grow into additional afternoon hours if needed/wanted.
We only have one associate in the shop at a time, so it’s essential that you love to work independently, believe in small business, and are an excellent communicator.
What You’ll Do
- Become a Mayker expert with a fluent knowledge and appreciation for our brand’s services and products
- Provide in-shop client services in the flagship store
- Demonstrate unparalleled product knowledge and offer exceptional design advice
- Delight customers through hospitality driven interactions
- Spark conversations and generate leads for Mayker’s interior design services
- Create proposals for off-the-floor retail requests
- Oversee merchandising and stocking responsibilities, as needed
- Coordinate deliveries and shipments, as needed
- Add and audit products to the eCommerce website
- Provide daily sales reporting and additional admin needs
- Answer Mayker phone line during operational hours
- Keep the store neat, clean, and organized

- Starting hourly pay ($16 - $20/hour, depending on experience)
