Our busy Phoenix-based Real Estate Brokerage firm is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records for our Property Management and brokerage divisions.
We are offering a part-time, hybrid-remote position (requiring 1 day in the office per week), with growth opportunities!
Our ideal candidate is well organized with a willingness to learn, has a strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills (written & verbal). They should have experience in the maintenance of financial records, recording data and have an ability to produce clear financial reports. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll and conducting other tasks related to finance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable invoices for R.O.I. and affiliated entities.
- Maintain filing systems for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash receipts for multiple entities.
- Process daily cash deposits to multiple banks on behalf of various entities.
- Reconcile credit card statements.
- Assist Accounting Manager/Controller with accounts receivable invoicing and tracking.
- Complete 1099 Reporting for multiple entities and maintain W-9 forms for all vendors as applicable.
- Research accounts payable inquiries and respond to questions from internal and external sources.
- Maintain accounting files for the company and affiliate entities.
- Initiate and terminate utility and vendor accounts.
- Initiate and terminate bonds, bank accounts, and insurance policies.
- Draft monthly reports for financial review.
- Conduct in-person bank deposits as needed.
- Calculate and disburse commission and other payments.
- Assist Accounting Manager/Controller with other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting required.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, Quickbooks Online, and Buildium.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of real estate or Property Management accounting practices preferred but not required.
