Position Summary

The Pro Shop Staff plays a vital role in our team and the way we service our customers. Pro Shop staff are responsible for customer service, inventory management, application of retail and marketing strategies, having knowledge about golf related programs, and supervision and facilitation of Pro Shop Staff in fulfilling their respective duties.

Responsibilities & Duties
Customer Service
Promote Leagues and Tournaments, Membership.
Maintain or improve customer satisfaction.
Answer phone calls. And customer questions to best of ability, defer as necessary.

Inventory
Assist in maintaining inventory – alert supervisors of shortages.

Retail/Marketing
Selling through customer engagement & product knowledge.

Performs club fittings and provide product recommendations according to customer needs.

Rotate stock and display merchandise/equipment in Pro-Shop - “keep it fresh”.
Operate POS & cash register.
Update knowledge of current equipment; attend training sessions when available.
Submit special orders.
Follow demo procedures.
Keep Membership Applications, Customer Data and Demo Club Sign-out sheets stocked.

Input new customer data into POS.
Clean bathrooms – incl. sinks, toilets, floors, woodwork.

Golf Related
Ensure Driving Range is maintained
Keep cart staging area orderly and available.
Collect deposits for tournaments, bill and collect final payments or transfer appropriate funds to restaurant.

Disseminate contracts.
Assist in preparing and maintaining tee sheets.
Promote club activities and memberships, including coupon club.

Other
Maintain store’s cleanliness, organization & presentation.
Closing duties of store – turn off lights, machines, TV, AC, closeout register and credit card machine, place deposit in drop box of safe and set.alarm.

And all other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Employee Type: Full-Time

Location: US-NY-Rochester

Base Pay: $15-17/hour

Required Experience: 0-3 years

FLSA Classification: Hourly/Non-Exempt
