About the role:
BSI Consulting partners with clients to achieve their environmental, health, safety and sustainability short-term needs and long-term goals.
We occasionally need OSHA Outreach Trainers (TRAINER) to work on an hourly, part-time, as needed basis throughout the NY Tri-State Area.
Candidates without the required certifications will not be considered.
Qualifications:
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Approved Outreach Trainer (required)
- Ability to train NYC DOB Site Safety Manager Courses (required)
- Ability to train NYC DOB Scaffolding Courses (required)
- Fluent in the English Language (required)
- Flexible Schedule - Days / Nights / Weekends (required)
- Reliable Transportation (required)
- Ability to train FDNY Construction Site Fire Safety Manager Course (preferred)
- Ability to train NYC DOB Concrete Safety Manager Courses (preferred)
- Ability to train NYC DOB Rigging Courses (preferred)
- Ability to Asbestos / Lead Courses (preferred)
- Bi-lingual - Spanish / Other (preferred)
Education:
- Minimum two (2) years of training experience
- Minimum five (5) years of construction / construction safety experience
- Working knowledge of construction safety principles, techniques and methods
- Knowledge of OSHA-CFR 1926 "Construction Safety & Health", the New York City Department of Buildings Construction Safety requirements, Chapter 33
- Able to present training to enhance student's understanding in class environments
- May involve last minute scheduling or traveling from time to time
- Individual must be reliable, punctual and have strong communication skills
- Familiar with audio / visual equipment
- Familiar with "hands on" exercises
- Able to conduct quizzes and tests as required by particular training
- Able to articulate and professional in appearance
- Knowledgeable of course material and regulations
- Fluent in English, written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
What we offer:
The salary for this position can range from $90,100 - $123,860 annually; actual compensation is based on various factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's competencies, level of experience, education, location, divisional budget and internal peer compensation comparisons.
