Job Summary
This position is located in Montgomery, Alabama.
Part-time TES Nurse Practitioner provides general medical care and treatment to patients in accordance with collaborative prescribing guidelines.
Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Essential Functions
-Performs physical examinations and preventative health measures, as well as orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests.
-Formulates comprehensive health management plans for patients in collaboration with physicians, pharmacists, and other medical professionals.
-Prescribes and/or recommends medications and treatments to patients.
-Provides physician and pharmacist referrals to patients in need of further medical care and services.
-Participates in Pharmacy Health Services and Harrison School of Pharmacy meetings, functions, events, and committees, as well as in a team of interdisciplinary health care providers.
-Provides education and instruction to residents and students on primary care practices and topics in advanced clinical courses.
-Contributes to the development, implementation, and expansion of Pharmacy Health Services programs and initiatives.
This position is located in Montgomery, Alabama.
Minimum Qualifications
-Completion of Nurse Practitioner certificate program and qualified to practice as a Nurse Practitioner as defined under Section 610-X-5 of the Alabama Board of Nursing Administrative Code is required.

-Strong knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
-Strong customer service skills.
