Part Time non emergency driver

Bridge Medical Transport is a non emergency transportation company. We are responsible for transporting patients and families to and from medical appointments using a Wheelchair and or Stretcher/ Gurney. Please note, this position requires team members to active during transport and includes task like lifting, pushing and pulling. This is a PART-TIME position. The maximum hours allotted for Part Time is 25 hours per week. Work schedule includes Monday-Friday withSaturdays and Sundays as optional. Candidates must be able to pass a drug screen, have a clean driving record and criminal history. Again, team members must be capable of lifting and bending to perform necessary tasks, including loading and unloading clients using wheelchair and or stretcher. We are looking for individuals with exceptional customer service and listening skills. This position starts at $17.00 per hour with a pay increase every six months based on performance. Please note this is a Part time position only and full time is not available.

• Highschool Diploma
• Valid Ga drivers license
• Drug screen required prior to employment

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip inspections on assigned vehicle to ensure that they are in good working order
• Ascertain that all fluids are up to par, and that tire pressures are properly maintained
• Provide excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
• Responsible for safely transporting clients to appointments
• Transport clients utilizing company vehicle in a professional manner
• Operate vehicle in a safe manner to include parking the vehicle and pulling into/out of temporary loading/unloading areas
• Assist clients in getting onto the vehicle and safely inside of their respective destination by following all safety guidelines
• Responsible for completing trip summary documentation and submitting prior to the end of shift
• Contact clients to communicate expected pick up and drop off times as well as changes to schedule or traffic delays
• Report any and all incidents or accidents to the supervisor
• Maintain a professional image and attitude with clients, visitors, and co-workers
• Operating wheelchair lifts and securing wheelchairs and stretchers in the vehicle
• Completing daily vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
• Adhering to company policies and standard operating procedures
