COMPENSATION: $19.00 - $24.00 Hourly
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday (8:30AM - 5:30PM)
One of the area's leading pediatrics healthcare practices is seeking aMedical Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis, with the possibility of a long-term opportunity with the practice. Specializing in providing care to patients on the spectrum of diversity, this is a caring clinical team seeking a kind and patient team member who enjoys working with children and their families. You'll start with part-time hours for training and transition into full-time hours for the position.
JOB DUTIES:
As the Medical Assistant you will assist the primary provider during patient care appointments. This team cares for infants, toddlers, and young children, and specialize with neurodevelopmental disorders and ensuring their patients are healthy as they grow into the next stages of childhood. Regular responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and sanitizing exam rooms
- Rooming patients + family members
- Assisting with immunizations
- Take notes for providers during appointments
- Support other Medical Assistants as needed
- Assist with correspondence with patients
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR?
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Medical Assisting Diploma
- Medical Assisting credentials preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certificate
- Proficient with administering immunizations
- Pediatrics experience preferred
