Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain sanitation of Hobart dish washing machine
- General Cleaning of Dish machine Daily and Weekly to ensure clean and sanitary dishes as well as clean and lime-free dish machine.
- Hand wash pots and pans in three compartment sink and maintain proper sanitation of sink
- Empty trash cans in kitchen and transport trash to proper areas for pickup
- Transport empty compost bins to kitchen and return to proper area for pick up when full
- Maintain recycling bins and cardboard in kitchen and transport to proper area for pick up
- Maintains sanitation of kitchen and storage areas according to Jefferson County Health Department standards
- Wash walls, door, and food preparation surfaces
- Sweep and mop floors in kitchen and storage areas
- Put away food, supplies, and other deliveries in proper areas
- Inspect, accept, and store deliveries in proper locations during peak business hours
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Basic food preparation, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
- Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
- Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to supervisor
- Complete safety training and sanitation certifications
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets
- Speak with others using clear and professional language
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors
- Ability to work flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends
Working Conditions:
- Frequent exposure to hot water, steam, and moderate noise from power equipment
- Daily exposure to outdoors when transporting trash
- Frequent exposure to industrial strength cleaning solutions
- Frequent exposure to hot equipment
Must Requirements:
- 1 to 2 years kitchen experience in stand alone restaurant
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Understanding of proper knife skills and cooking techniques.
- Food Handler Certificate from Louisville Metro Health Department/ Servsafe Certificate
