Part Time Host

Whiskey Alley is one of the highest rated restaurants in the Aiken and downtown area. We have been proudly serving our community for almost three years and continually strive to push the expectations of the service industry through our unique dinning experience. One of our core values and top goals at Whiskey Alley is to “wow” all our guests through excellent customer service. As the first point of contact with the public, the host has one of the greatest impacts to do so. The host not only has the ability to turn a potential guest into a long term, returning customer, but are responsible for the organization and flow of the dinning service. We are looking for someone that is self motivated, highly organized, enjoys engaging with others, works well under pressure and with team members, and is enthusiastic about the food and beverage industry.

Host duties involve but are not limited to the following:

• Greet customers upon entry
• Answer phones and schedule reservations
• Quote accurate wait time and estimates during busy periods for walk ins
• Rotate seating between different stations to ensure even workloads for waitstaff
• Maintain a neat, organized front-of-house environment
• Assist team members and side worm when needed
• Learn food and beverage menu

While you would be responsible for the duties mentioned above, you will also be working in conjunction with the restaurant’s marketing department. You will be gathering guest preferences, building guest relationships and helping marketing team best market to guest.

Prior hosting or food and beverage experience is not required, although preferred. Opportunity to progress within the restaurant as well as taking on more marketing duties are available.
