Position Title: Grant Writer / Part Time 16-20 hours/week

Salary Range: $24-$27/hour
Position Summary
Provident Behavioral Health seeks a Grant Writer to secure funding for the critical mission of behavioral
health services. As a Grant Writer for this 163 year-old agency, your main role will be to research and
identify potential funding opportunities, write compelling grant proposals, and complete outcome
reporting. In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Grants Manager as well as the Advancement
and program teams. An ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal skills to effectively
communicate this legacy agency's impact on serving those with behavioral health needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Research and identify potential funding opportunities from government agencies and private
foundations.
2. Write persuasive grant proposals that effectively communicate the organization's mission, goals,
and project details.
3. Cultivate relationships with potential funders and maintain existing donor relationships.
4. Collaborate with program staff to gather information and data for grant proposals.
5. Ensure grant proposals are submitted in a timely manner, following all guidelines and
requirements.
6. Maintain accurate records of grants, deadlines, and reporting requirements.
7. Track and report on grant outcomes, providing updates to funders as required.
8. Stay updated on current trends and best practices in grant writing and fundraising.
9. Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets and financial narratives for grant proposals.
10. Assist in the development and implementation of fundraising strategies to support the
organization's mission.
11. Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Experience:
Two years of grant writing or communication-specific experience is required.

This position will work with a team to develop budgets and financial narratives for grant proposals.

1. Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
2. Strong research abilities and knowledge of fundraising information sources.
3. Experience with proposal writing and institutional donors.

5. Proficiency in basic fundraising techniques and strategies.
6. Ability to maintain the strictest level of confidentiality.
7. Reliability and consistency.
8. Proven ability to take responsibility and problem-solve in a proactive manner.
9. Ability to establish and maintain relationships with employees at all levels, in a diverse and
dynamic workforce population.
10. Excellent computer skills with all Microsoft Office programs.
11. Experience with budget development, program development, and contract agreements preferred.

This position is 16-20 hours/week and will be initially located on-site at the Administrative office in St.
Louis City, with potential for some remote work once training is complete.
