Part-Time Front End Loader

Summary:

New Windsor Hardwood Corporation is looking for a reliable and safety focused individual to join its team in the logging industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for unloading and loading from logging trucks and containers as well as sorting and moving logs around the loading docks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Unload incoming shipments from logging trucks.

- Transport logs to the log yard.

- Gather and pile up logs.

- Sort and transport logs to the loading dock prior to loading.

- Load logs into transporting containers.

- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures all the time.

- Demonstrate a commitment to safe loader performance.

- Operate a log loader machine, such as skid steer.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in Front End loading and/or skidder operator. 5 years or more of relevant experience is preferred.

- The ability to stand, walk, bend, climb up stairs, and climb up ladders.

- The ability to lift up to 60 pounds.

- Effective communication skills.

- Collaborate and work effectively with a team.

- Must be fit for duty at all scheduled times.

Working Conditions:

- Work primarily takes place outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.

- May involve exposure to dust, noise, and other environmental factors typical of logging operations.

- Requires frequent, standing, walking, bending, and lifting heavy objects.

Working Schedule: Monday through Friday, five to fifteen hours weekly. Shift normally starts in the early morning.
