Job Description
The Teacher Aide/Assistant Caregiver shall report directly to the Lead Teacher or Assistant Director concerning all classroom, curriculum, or material matters. Assistant/Aide must have a minimum of at least 6 mos. verifiable work experience with small children, current First Aid and CPR, and a satisfactory criminal record check. The responsibilities for this position include, but may not be limited to the following:
- Assist with management of the classroom program.
- Assist with supervising and guidance of each child.
- Help implement daily lesson plan and activities as directed by Lead Teacher.
- Positive communication with all parents and staff.
- Help to maintain appropriate records on each child.
- Assist with taking daily attendance.
- Assist with all serving of meals.
- Follow posted classroom schedule at all times.
- Participates in center events.
- Assist with maintaining a clean and hazard free classroom at all times.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Maintain minimum 10 clock hours of continuing education training annually.
- Follow all facility and CDC recommended COVID-19 protocols
As an Aide/Assistant Caregiver in this facility, you are expected to maintain a positive and professional attitude and appearance at all times. Teamwork is important and you are expected to be a cooperative team member. Should any problems or concerns arise, they should be directed to the Director immediately.
