ABOUT WAXBERG'S
We are a third-generation family-owned shoe store and have been fitting feet since 1919. Isaac Waxberg had his roots as a cobbler in Germany before moving to Chicago and opening what has now become Waxberg's Walk Shoppe. In 2022, Waxberg's became part of the Stan's Fit For Your Feet family of shoe stores.
Stan's family-owned and operated shoe stores have been stepping up the shoe fashion and comfort game in Milwaukee since 1950 and recently Chicagoland! It's no secret that our feet take a beating with every step, dance, run, hike, or jog. We're here to get our customers the best-fitting (and best-looking) shoes! A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FIT SPECIALIST / SALES ASSOCIATE
As a Fit Specialist /Sales Associate, you provide a service that has been the cornerstone of our business for the past 104 years. It is your goal to make a friend and find the perfect fit for our customers. You communicate with them in a positive, engaging, and authentic manner to develop relationships and build loyalty. With a personalized approach, you measure feet, suggest footwear styles, and help customers try on different shoes until they find the perfect pair. You share information about store events, new merchandise, and shoe parties as well as enroll customers in our rewards program. Your expert shoe knowledge and customer service skills help you to meet and exceed sales goals. You love meeting new people each day and seeing your hard work reflected in your paycheck!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FIT SPECIALIST / SALES ASSOCIATE
- Sales ability
- Ability to use a point-of-sale system
- Outgoing personality
Experience in sales, retail, or customer service would be a plus. Do you love shoes? Can you easily establish a good rapport with people? Are you a true team player? If yes, you might just be perfect for this footwear position!
WORK SCHEDULE
This retail position typically works a mix of day and evening shifts, 15-25 hours per week. Our store closes at 6pm Monday-Saturday & 5pm on Sunday. Our stores are closed on all major Holidays.
