Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time Faculty Positions in the Department of English (Screenwriting) for the academic year 2023-2024. These positions are on an as needed semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

·Teaching FILM3105 Introduction to Screenwriting and 3125 Introduction to Television Writing in our dramatic writing curriculum. Other courses may be assigned based on qualifications.

·Teaching in face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats.

·Teaching on Kennesaw and/or Marietta campuses.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications

A minimum of a MA, or the foreign equivalent, in English or a related discipline, or at least seven years of industry experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

·Academic coursework in screenwriting for film and/or television.

·Professional experience writing for film and/or television.

·Experience teaching screen and television writing and related courses.

·Experience mentoring student writers.

·Experience teaching in face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online formats.
