Part-time Crisis Specialist (Bachelors Social Work, Psychology, etc)

HealthSource Integrated Solutions (HIS) is looking for highly competent bachelor's level individual to join our Crisis Specialist Team. HIS, a leader in crisis intervention services in the state of Kansas, provides 24/7 telephonic support to individuals in crisis. We are looking for compassionate, hardworking professionals to join our amazing team.

The Crisis Specialist is responsible for handling incoming calls for all HealthSource Integrated Solutions contracted programs and monitoring program requirements to ensure specifications are being met. They work with individuals who are experiencing mental illness, substance abuse and developmental disabilities to stabilize the crisis and connect to resources/referrals. Crisis Specialist's work to link callers to community resources to stop the crisis cycle and help them achieve recovery in the least restrictive setting.

Duties:

• Provides crisis telephone intervention, risk assessment and appropriate referral services through EAP, helpline and after hour’s programs.
• Provides follow-up calls on prior referrals to ensure contract requirements are met after initiation of screen or termination of treatment, according to program specifications.
• Gathers, assesses, and documents information from mental health professionals and health professionals, requesting screening for managed behavioral care.
• Ensures documentation of all screen requests, dispositions, referrals, and crisis calls are complete and accurate.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, Social Work, or another human service related program.
• Familiarity with the mental health and substance abuse treatment continuum.
• Telephone triage experience preferred, text and chat experience a plus
• Strong customer service skills
• Computer and typing proficiency
