Part Time Corporate Dasher (Downtown - up to $40/hr)

We are a Delivery Service based in Houston, Texas is looking for a qualified Part Time Dispatcher to manage our office and dispatch delivery drivers. This an exciting position for the right individual to come into a growing operation and help put their stamp onto the company. Future growth within the company is always an option. This is a Part Time position 10-15 hrs/week.

The duties for this position include but are not limited to:

• Scheduling and dispatching delivery drivers to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests or immediate needs
• Monitor daily route scheduling with drivers and customers
• Answer phones and assist with driver related questions
• Relaying information such as work orders or other messages to and from work crews, field inspectors, supervisors or emergency personnel
• Using telephones and text messages to contact employees
• Preparing daily work such as schedules

Skills and qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any type of condition
• Excellent clerical and organizational skills to keep track of schedules, routes and personnel
• Knowledge of computers for scheduling and other dispatching duties
• Knowledge of Microsoft word and Excel
• Knowledge of social media: Facebook, Instagram , etc.
• Ability to multitask with different, and sometimes conflicting, events happening at the same time
• Ability to work under stress and remain calm and to calm other people during rapidly changing circumstances
• Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment

Schedule:

4-6 hour shift Tues-Thurs

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
